On behalf of all members I would also like to extend my sincerest sympathy to Carol, Carol's brother, to Linsey and to her brother and all extended family members.

Thank you to members who have already expressed condolences and would concur with all that has been said so far.

May was, in fact, a founder member of the Association. She will be sorely missed. While President, May nominted me for Honorary Membership, for which, I will be eternally grateful.

May God grant her peace.

Alex

The way the dancing world should be Stuart Smile
May was certainly one of the best and I hope that I and whoever takes over after me continue to remember that May, Charlie and Daisy, would help any child/dancer and so should we all Smile

..

I have not known May as long as some SOHDA members but she truely was one of the greats.

My lasting memory of May will be when Emma returned from dancing with the board and at one of her first competitions as a SOHDA dancer which happened to be in Macmerry Emma could not remember a step in one of the specials, May saw Emma was having a problem while practicing the dance and took her aside and ran through the step with her, Emma took a 1st for that dance and I have never forgotten it or the kindness May showed.

Rest in peace May you and your dedication to Highland Dancing and all the dancers will be sorely missed by all.

As you are all aware the SOHDA were given the sad news this evening that former president and SOHDA Honorary Member May Davidson passed away tonight.
I just want to say May you will be very greatly missed!
Personally I would like to say thank you to May for all the support and help she has given me since taking up my Presidency and also for all the support, encouragement and mentoring she gave me throughout my years as a dancer. I will miss you very much. Rest in Peace xxx
